Intersectional Feminism is Feminism that expands beyond women, the limited realm of womanhood, and traditional ideas of femininity in order to address rather than erase the struggles of all oppressed peoples. It is important to qualify this philosophy as Intersectional Feminism as opposed to "Humanism" because the foundational principles of Intersectional Feminism still acknowledge that the maltreatment of all societally oppressed peoples will be expunged through the liberation of women and the radical change of the collective ideology about all things feminine. The philosophy of Humanism, conversely, does not specifically acknowledge this critical element.
Many Spiritualists believe that liberation can be achieved through embracing the Divine Feminine as that of equal value to the Divine Masculine because so much of our culture is influenced by religion and spiritual beliefs. Most of the popular religions we see today - the religions that tend to hold the most influence over our cultures - hold only or mostly male or masculine deities in high regard. The most notable exception to this norm being the Virgin Mary, but even in her highest esteem she is still possesses the qualifier of "Virgin" causing her importance and power to be focused on her sexuality as she pertains to a man or male deity. The acknowledgement and embrace of the Divine Feminine creates space for important female deities and deities of non-female nor male gender to be represented. This equal representation in the spiritual realm will create space for more comprehensive ideas which will eventually penetrate our current cultural norms of exclusivity.
This philosophy of incorporating the Divine Feminine into spiritual and religious practice is called the Goddess Principle. The Goddess Principle is imperative to the spiritual liberation of women and is a key element in Intersectional Feminism and in your Childbirth Edification Classes through the Open Birth workshop. Learn to channel the Divine Feminine and birth a new version of yourself. (Go ahead and birth a baby while you're at it!)
